2013: a hopeful glance

now that the new year’s arrived, it’s time to start laying the foundations of what i hope to see, do, and achieve before the next december 31st rolls around.  of course, one always runs the risk of overburdening oneself with loads of impractical obligations when making such lists, being flooded with starry-eyed optimism in the face of a fresh calendar page.

so, in an effort to reduce the risk of such self-induced pressure, in 2013 i hope to keep it simple.  i’ll:

still no word on new eps

enjoy a new season of the legend of korra, which is most likely probably going to premiere this year.  sometime.
 so much to hope for...
partake of futurama’s next run of episodes (season 7b), hopefully to resume in june, if history has taught we fans anything
 two covers out
receive the next three volumes of wandering son through fantagraphics subscription program

squee!

follow j-manga’s digital serialization of sweet blue flowers, now available! (i should make a point of reading more digital manga this year…) om nom books
amass this year’s list of all books, e-books, and audiobooks read; attempt to surpass 2012’s total of 270 titles

image
redouble stashdown efforts with intent to reduce my current yarn by 1,000+ yards
 these pigs need some friends
submit one additional pattern to ravelry

bilbo

gear up for and geek out over the hobbit: the desolation of smaug’s release on december 13, most likely with more knitting

a respectable list of sticks, string, and geekery, me thinks.  now to get off the computer and get to it!

  1. This sounds like an awesome set of plans! (Um... longtime reader, but I don't think I've ever commented. I love your blog!)
